I’m sitting here at the edge of the lake, reading my book. There’s music playing on the beach and two older people are teaching kids Frisbee tricks. I’m part of the people parade, enjoying a day out.

I went to the public bathroom, and while washing my hands, accidentally looked in the mirror. I don’t like looking in mirrors because the reflection isn’t mine. But what I saw reflected back was a happy face.

The face isn’t mine. But the happiness is.
