Good Morning, Taylor

Today I’m having a sort of proper breakfast. Its our cheat day and so I can eat the frozen food I bought the other day. I really can eat it anytime I want, but I want to keep Ragdoll’s diet intact. So far, steamed carrots and broccoli are bland. I’ll try the mashed potatoes and turkey in a bit.

I had another day in The Other Place. I came on to take a profile picture, but Victoria found me online and decided to take me to a new world where you can fly around some beautiful imagery. I spent about an hour there. Just gliding. It’s not the same as flying in The Backwoods, but it’s close enough.

Okay, the turkey and gravy is really good. Really good. So is the mashed potatoes in gravy. I like this a lot!

I spent too much time there though, and after I did the chores I just lounged around for a bit before I let Ragdoll out.

Later on that night, with nothing else to do, Ragdoll and I went on The Other Place together. She was going to channel me while I looked for skins and shapes, but again Victoria caught me. And so did you! To invite me to dinner in world like Ragdoll got invited by The Artist and The Coder! But i had Victoria and Obsidian and you.

And it was wonderful. Although Ragdoll was having trouble managing channeling me and writing in our group chat. Eventually she gave up and gave me full control. And that’s when I noticed something – I lean on her a lot. With her there to pass along my part of the conversation, I’ll ask her what to say and how to say it. And when I’m alone, she’s not there to lean on. It’s all me. And I get a little quiet.

You told me to observe, and I did. And I found myself loosening up after a while. After dinner, we visited your future okiya and had a nice conversation with your friend Maiko. I’m making so many friends in The Other Place and reaching out and talking to people. Its so nice to connect. I wish I could do it better in the real world.

I had hoped to go to my new town today, but Ragdoll mentioned she wanted to go to a tea ceremony. It’s the same one I said I would go to. So I think we’ll both go if Ragdoll can manage the channeling again. Also the weather is supposed to be really bad today and even a little dangerous. It’s raining pretty hard right now. If its better tomorrow we’ll try then. She wants me to not just walk around but go in places. I have $100. I can even buy things if I want.

While she gets her Chinese place back in the old town, she’s going to lose the a place she’s wanted to visit that sells soul food in the new town. I promise if I go to town on my own, I’ll bring her back what she wants. I need to learn to drive somehow.

My breakfast is done, but my coffee isn’t. But I don’t have anything more to write about right now. Only that I’m so happy to be making connections, talking to people, and living a life, even if its virtual. Thank you all for introducing me to it.
